Georgina Chapman & Keren Craig – Marchesa

Marchesa…enough said! I adore Marchesa and am constantly checking if they’ve shown another collection. The masters behind the fashion house are the beautiful Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. They met during their time at Chelsea College of Art and Design, a duo destined to change the fashion industry.

Marchesa, named after the socialite Marchesa Luisa Casati, was established back in 2004. Chapman’s experience in costume design with Craig’s expertise in textiles, prints and embroidery, balance out well, the perfect recipe for their designs. Marchesa is über feminine, origamic with a base of undeniable elegance. You’ll soon see they too hop on, off and past the line of avant garde. Below are my favorite looks of their Spring 2012 collection.

I can’t help but stare to figure out how these beautiful garments were created. There is so much detail and craftsmanship put into them all. But that’s what Marchesa is all about.

It’s so much fun going through my archive and decide which looks I want to feature, a dream wardrobe for anyone. I know it is for the lady in the back of my mind. Fortunately, the Marchesa empire has much more to offer. Of course, there are bridal and resort lines, handbags and Notte, a new line of dresses I consider more wearable. Chapman and Craig are also involved in two collaborative projects: Marchesa for Le Metier de Beaute, a make-up brand, and Marchesa by Lenox, dinnerware, both inspired by Marchesa, offering the ultimate lifestyle.

I hope everyone will fall madly in love with this fashion house as I have. Enjoy and be inspired!
