When shopping, make sure to go for bold and fun pieces, like those of Proenza Schouler. They have delivered yet again! When I look at every inch of the clothing, there is a lot going on. Yet, the textures, prints, lines, color blocking and use of overlaying images flow so well. They don’t overwhelm the eye and definitely attract attention.

– Gareth Pugh –

Gareth Pugh does not follow any template, creating a world of his own for every season. When I look at his creations, I never think of modern times. I see domineering women in the future fighting intergalactic wars. What wrings true to the season is the airiness of the clothing form extra lightweight fabric that glide wildly, mirroring women’s personalities, though the stiff leather accents the control and power. Why not be different and strut these looks down the streets of the neighborhood?

– Roksanda Ilincic –

Anyone need some color blocking and classic silhouettes? Roksanda Ilincic has you covered. Her use of vibrant hues is extraordinary, placing them in interesting and appealing spots. I really love her graphics. They are fun and appropriate for women of any age. There is enough edge, but for those who find edginess overwhelming, they will look just fine in Ilinic’s creations.

Viktor and Rolf keep rocking my world season after season. They are true artists, elevating what we put on our bodies. I’m very impressed to see them doing more wearable clothing, pushing modern elegance, yet still keeping their creative aesthetic, reestablishing themselves as a brand that will last forever. Their fabric choices and draping are stunning and never fail to include in-your-face details and finishing.
