Alicia Vikander, a rising talent, collaborated with Louis Vuitton the entire award season and this slinky metallic dress is my favorite. It elongates her, the glimmer and shine draws in attention and the Piet Mondrian inspired design definitely captivates one’s observation, pushing fashion into an art museum. Through all that, glamour prevails and her beauty is all we really see.

Lily Rabe, my favorite actress on American Horror Story, brought spring early with this radiant yellow floral number from Lela Rose. I love how the appliques cascade down into the soft stitching and complementary color. The plunging neckline is modest enough and reels in the falling flowers. Lily looks amazing!

Joanne Froggett, Downton Abbey staple, looks great in this color and the fine details of the dress, made by Burberry. I really like the belt-like stitching around the torso, yet I wish it didn’t run up her shoulders. Though I’m not usually opposed, the shoulder additions create a faux harness that could have been done better and confuses everything.
