so in love with this song! fun and empowering. media went crazy over WAP, questioning if it's female empowerment and etc., but I think "Best Friend" really boasts that sentiment. we need to hype our homies! this tune will definitely be in my 2021 top 10 jams.

lately, i've been watching a lot of media focused on cultural and identity politics and i so need to stop. the views and experiences added to the dialogue keep surprising me. sadly, they also keep reaffirming people are going nuts in a society with clear and strong standards, though, at least in the United States, we're told we all can be whatever we want. mix in abuse and entitlement, what a mess. i need to accept no matter the society, culture, community or fight, humanity comes down to sex and the tribe. all we can do is protect ourselves and hope not to end up "fill in the blank", especially those on the outskirts needing to be called by their name and such.
